Who are we - really.

At Bone Health Studio we don’t want to be a Trainer, a Physio, a Dietitian, we want to be people in your life that make a difference through our clinical reasoning, but also through our personality. We’re here to educate, guide, inspire and empower.

Let’s meet us.

FOUNDER and BIOMECHANICS:

Greg Pain (bsc - Sport and exercise science)

Greg Pain is a Sports Biomechanist based in Auckland, New Zealand, with more than 20 years of clinical experience helping people move better, build strength, and return to the activities that matter most to them. Over the years, Greg has worked with a wide range of people — from high-performing athletes to older adults wanting to stay active, capable, and confident in their bodies. His reputation has been built on combining sharp clinical reasoning with an honest, highly individual approach.

Why Bone Health Studio

Bone Health Studio was created to offer something Greg felt was missing: a place where people navigating osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, RED-S, menopause-related change, or recovery from injury or surgery could receive truly evidence-based strength support in a calm, structured, and welcoming environment. Not a generic gym, and not a passive treatment model — but a space where people can be guided safely and clearly toward better strength, function, and confidence.

A Different Approach to Strength and Rehabilitation

Greg’s professional background has always sat at the intersection of performance and rehabilitation. That same thinking now shapes Bone Health Studio. His approach is not just about treating symptoms or prescribing generic exercise. It is about understanding the individual in front of him — their movement history, confidence, goals, injuries, and barriers — and then building a plan that matches their needs.

At the heart of Greg’s work is a simple belief: when prescribed well, strength training can be life-changing. It can help reduce fear, improve resilience, restore physical capability, and give people greater trust in their body again. For many people, that is just as important as the physical outcomes themselves.

Helping People Move Forward With Confidence

Bone Health Studio exists to bridge the gap between traditional rehab and full-function strength. Greg knows that many people have been told to simply “be careful” or “stay active,” without ever being shown what safe, meaningful strength support actually looks like. His aim is to change that — by helping people feel educated, supported, and appropriately challenged, rather than confused or held back by fear.

For Greg, the goal is always the same: to help people move forward with more strength, more clarity, and more confidence in what their body can do.

If you are looking for a safer, clearer, and more evidence-based way to build strength and move well, Greg would love to help you take that first step.

HOLISTIC HEALTH and PILATES:

REE george (Master Holistic Health Coach -PREKURE)

A woman with long brown hair, blue eyes, and fair skin is sitting on a mid-century modern chair with a wooden frame and gray fabric. She is wearing a blue, beige, and black patterned blouse, black pants, a white watch, and pearl earrings. She is smiling and looking at the camera, with her left arm resting on the back of the chair and her hands clasped together.

Ree George is a Master Holistic Health Coach (PREKURE) with a background in Physiotherapy (Otago) and Pilates/Yoga. Ree has over 25 years’ experience in movement and rehabilitation and has sharpened her focus more recently towards a health coach approach to preventative health and wellbeing.

Her work sits at the intersection of clinical practice, strength-based training, and professional health coaching — supporting clients to move beyond injury management towards healthy minds, healthy bodies, and thriving in life. Ree combines her foundation in Physiotherapy and Pilates/Yoga with advanced expertise in behaviour change, mental fitness, and metabolic health. She is also a faculty member at PREKURE, where she trains and mentors health coach students, and is a co-founder/director of Recalibrate, a professional health coaching business focused on the corporate sector.

At the Bone Health Studio, Ree delivers targeted, progressive programmes focused on strength, movement quality, and whole-body health. Her approach is practical and outcomes-driven, addressing both the physical and behavioural drivers of long-term health. She walks alongside her clients to help them build not just stronger bodies, but the confidence and capability to move well for life.

Outside of work, Ree enjoys slowing down and reconnecting with what matters most — whether that’s spending time in nature, or sharing good food and conversation with loved ones. As a mum to three not-so-little children, much of her joy comes from the evolving adventure of family life. She is also deeply drawn to exploration and challenge, often found climbing mountains, scuba diving, or seeking out new adventures that stretch her perspective and spark a sense of aliveness. At heart, Ree is a collector of life experiences, valuing moments of connection, discovery, and meaning, while still carving out quiet space to reset and recharge.
